NEVER RUSH A RELATIONSHIP...

Too many young women have met the “man of their dreams”.

You meet him on your way home from work one day, you get to know one another better for a few more days and jackpot! "He becomes the man of OUR dream." We have to be the funniest creatures on earth....the next thing you hear is

“He’s absolutely amazing. He’s everything I’ve ever prayed for.”

We move on from describing how charming, kind, sweet, and romantic he is to how he claimed to have a relationship with God, and he's willing to do anything to make this relationship work.

let’s get real, people: “Absolutely amazing” isn’t a trait that’s revealed overnight, it takes months – and years- of time witnessing someone’s life to know what they’re really made of.

When it comes to relationships, time is one of the greatest gifts you have.

FOCUS ON FRIENDSHIP Focusing on friendship first, in my opinion, is the best way to take things slow and to keep the relationship from going too fast or to prevent rushing into a romantic relationship. Ladies, it's important to build the friendship before getting too deep in.

You may be single, and feeling like the single-life has lasted an eternity. Time may be the LAST thing you want to hear about. You’re sick of waiting, and grieving every moment that has passed you by. You may be tempted to rush into a relationship with someone you don’t know that well, or commit to someone to whom you have some fears and hesitation.

But the truth is:

You'll hardly Find someone who REGRETS taking her time to get in a relationship; people only regret RUSHING into the wrong ones.  And that’s no small mistake, because it will cost you everything.

You don't want to spend your life regretting! It will hurt you badly when you start seeing the true colors of your "absolutely amazing" boyfriend. But at that point, you may feel like you've invested too much of your life/time to simply walk away, and so you endure, and try to make it work. If you agree with me, this can be avoided.

Allow time to reveal to you what your significant other, and what your relationship, is really made of.

And until then, TAKE the time to become the best version of yourself so that you can be ready when the right relationship, and the right timing, comes along. healthy relationships ALWAYS begin with healthy people.

RELATIONSHIPS ARE MEANT TO BE ENJOYED NOT ENDURED.

"Modesty Is A Choice"

Modesty is a choice. No one, including God, forces us to adopt modesty into our life.
No matter our decision, God loves us, but choosing modesty will change our life. The change doesn’t happen because we stop wearing bikinis, it happens because we choose to obey and submit.

Choices of obedience and submission are not easy when we don’t fully understand or still want to be in control. Sometimes we have obey simply because we trust that His ways are better than our understanding. Some of us might be in this place with modesty. We honestly don’t see what is wrong with showing some cleavage, wearing short-shorts or workout clothes that show all our curves. We don’t understand how modesty really leads to holiness. Even when we don’t understand, God is asking us to trust. Trust that He knows what is best. Trust that He is protecting us. Trust that He is offering true freedom. Trust that He is taking us into a deeper place of intimacy with Him. No it isn’t easy but He isn’t asking you to change overnight or all at once. He is asking us to take one step of obedience, then another of step of submission, then another of step of trust.

Where do we start? We start by digging into His Truth, searching scripture, and talking with women who have already been on this journey. We start by make holiness our goal. As we take these steps we will fall deeper in love with Him and that’s when we will begin to understand. We will understand why God designed modesty. We will understand that it’s not about rules but about a deeper relationship with Him. We will understand that modesty is a gift that allows us to respect ourselves on a whole different level. We will understand that God isn’t after a wardrobe change; He’s after your heart. I pray that today you will choose to start the journey of modesty, even if it’s out of pure obedience and submission. He won’t let you down!

"The Freedom Of Modesty"

Modesty can easily be taken to extremes. People say that unless women cover every inch of skin, men will lust and women will compare. Hoping to prevent this, they tell us how low shirts can go and how many inches a pair of shorts should be. Other’s take it to another extreme saying that modesty is old fashioned and suppresses women’s rights. They believe that it is our right to show as much of our bodies as we like as long as it make us feel good. The problem is that both these, and other extremes, divert us away from the true outcome and blessing of modesty, which is freedom and protection.

Through modesty God frees us from the need to receive approval from men or women, protects our minds, allowing us to live with the confidence of His truth and protects us from thinking that our beauty has anything to do with our outer appearance. Without God’s protection and freedom we tend to dress hoping for the label of sexy, gorgeous or beautiful. We want to be noticed, encouraged and affirmed for how we look. The problem is that those labels are a temporary fix for what is really going on in our hearts. Our hearts are longing to be loved and sought after and no worldly label has the power to change our hearts or give true self-confidence. These labels only deceive us and lead to more emptiness, pride, complacency, and comparisons. God didn’t design us to live this way. He designed us to live with freedom, confidence and protection. To give us an alternative God designed modesty. He knew that if we would dive into modesty we could gain a healthy perspective of our bodies and begin to live with all that God has to offer. This happens because through modesty we seek Him.
Modesty doesn’t restrict us; it brings true life and real freedom. Don’t let people’s extremes water down God’s definition, intention and blessing of modesty. Begin to live the life that God created you to live by diving into the heart of what modesty really is, a guide to living with freedom and protection

Former Miss USA dumps lover Tim Tebow over lack of sex

One of America’s hottest football players has reportedly been dumped by his model girlfriend because he won’t have sex with her.

Former Miss USA Olivia Culpo, 23, called off her relationship with Tim Tebow, 28, after two months because of his very public virginity vow, a source close to the model told the New York Daily News.

“She had to break up with him because she just couldn’t handle it,” the insider said.

In 2009, at the height of his college football fame, the devout Christian told a reporter that he was saving himself for marriage.

Meanwhile, E! is claiming that the two are “still friends and will remain to be.”

Source told New York Daiky News that He still hits her up, but Olivia just can’t deal with the sex thing. He’s pretty adamant about it.

Tim was apparently smitten with Culpo, who had previously dated Nick Jonas for two years.

“He was really into her”, the source said.

“He was sending her love letters and cute notes and professing his love for her.”

But not even the beauty queen could make him change his sacred promise.

Should You Tell Your Partner About Your Sexual Past?

How much of your past is healthy to share in intimate relationships. How much does a potential husband need to know about your sexual experiences and struggles? How much should he tell you?
This is one of those issues that relationship coaches and counselors often disagree about. Some give counsel that complete honesty is always the best policy—meaning that you should share everything with someone in an intimate relationship. After all, intimacy is about being truthful, right?
We live in a  society that values raw honesty, calling it authenticity. A woman may feel that she is being dishonest to not share the most vulnerable details of her life by the third date. He needs to know who I am, right? The good, the bad, and the ugly?
Often when we share raw details of our lives, we do so for our own sake, not for the best interest of the other person. Sometimes, it just feels good to confess our past transgressions to others, just to relieve our guilt. Most women who quickly air their dirty laundry do it because fear rejection. “I’d rather him know and reject me now before I get attached.”
This is not to say you should be deceptive or dishonest in your relationship. Any form of deceit or manipulation is a violation of trust. The person you are with wants to know you—not some sanitized version of you. A dating relationship or courtship provides the opportunity to always present your best—to project the person you think he wants to see. After marriage, the masks inevitably come off sometimes with grave consequences.
I never knew he had a problem with porn. Why didn’t he tell me before we got married?
I was afraid to tell him about the abortion I had as a teen. Now that we can’t get pregnant, I have this secret guilt that it’s God punishing me. He still doesn’t know the truth!
Honesty and integrity are character traits that are central to a follower of Christ. However, our truth is always to be “measured” by love and discretion. In other words, for a man or woman to project themselves to be someone they are not is dishonest. If you have sexual sin or trauma in your past, don’t pretend that you have it all together in that department. As a relationship progresses into deeper levels of intimacy and commitment, the details of your life should also be shared with increasing vulnerability. However, that doesn’t mean that you ever get to the point where you disclose without discretion.
Scripture tells us to “speak the truth in love.” There are some things that may never be loving to share—even with your future husband. Most often, this type of sharing includes revealing the raw details of past indiscretions or traumas.
At some point along the road toward marriage, you should share basic facts, like acknowledging you were sexually active with other men before this relationship. However, certain details of who, what, where, when, and how may actually create a foothold of jealousy and anger.
The same is true for couples who are recovering from an infidelity. In an effort to rebuild trust, a husband or wife may insist on knowing exactly what happened—what positions and what acts. In my experience, this level of sharing is never helpful. It plants mental images in the mind and heart that haunt the relationship for years to come.
If you are struggling through questions of what to ask and how much to share, please seek wisdom and counsel. Too many couples, in the rawness of the night, share details that hurt rather than help.
Sometimes complete honesty is not the best policy. Instead, let us ask the Lord what “speaking the truth in love” looks like in our most intimate relationships.

God Is the Best Match Maker..

I sat down on my bed talking to God and pouring out my heart to Him. In actual fact- I was telling God about how the kind of guy I wanted.....lol...funny but true!
It wasn’t like there were no guys.....there were lots of them.....in fact; it was like jumping from one odd bus to another. I didn’t just want boyfriend material, I wanted a husband (not that I’m getting married soon) but then, I wanted someone who loved God like I did, someone who understood me perfectly, someone who complemented me, someone who shared in my vision and also had his, someone whose utmost desire was to make heaven, someone who I could plan my life with and together we would prayerfully set our future in motion....the list was endless. By the time I was done telling God the kind of guy I wanted, I felt like one of those ladies with a highly unrealistic “dream guy”.

Long story cut short, he came into my life a couple of months afterwards. By that time, I was practicing what I learnt from Funto Ibuoye about Waiting. I was prayerfully preparing myself, focusing on my relationship with God and developing my career when my “prince charming” located me.
Today, I celebrate two things amongst a host of others.
1) I’m a year older and all glory belongs to God.
2) I celebrate my engagement to the man of my dreams.
Here’s what I’ve learnt in the past one year- God listens....He always does! And He knows the perfect way to respond!

This testimony is great and should inspire every Lady in waiting. Too many times, i've had people tell me i have unrealistic expectations when it comes to my "dream guy" but as a believer i'm very certain that God is able to do more than we ask or imagine.
There are days, i feel like giving up then i smile and say to myself "God has never failed". Ladies nothing in the world is worth giving up your relationship with Christ for.
The moral of the story is this, God is still in the business of answering prayers if we ask. Wishing Temitope and her lover a blissful union.

cheers..

God First.....

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.

Psalm 25:8–9

Dear father, you are good. Your ways are perfect and above my own. You deserve my full obedience and my worship. You are my teacher and authority because of your goodness.

Humble me today when I choose my way over yours. Use my prideful moments as an opportunity to teach me and redirect me.

Show my friends that your goodness is more important than their desires. Provide them with encouragement to seek your good and upright way.

Thank you for your constant instruction and concern for each step of my life.

In the name of Jesus I pray these things, amen.

Lady in Waiting: Lady of Diligence, using your free time to serve God

LADY OF DILIGENCE –

The perfect time to make the most of every opportunity is while you are single.
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:15-17 (NIV)
The perfect time to make the most of every opportunity is while you are SINGLE. This is because “The single woman can be involved in the Lord’s work on a level that a married woman cannot because of the distractions and responsibilities of being a wife and mother.
Ironically, some single women can be so distressed by their single state that they become emotionally more distracted than a wife and mother of four children.
According to John Fischer, "God  has called us to live now. He wants us to realize our full  potential as a man right now, to be thankful about where we are, and to enjoy it to the fullest."
Ruth was willing to use her life working diligently at whatever her Lord called her to do. She refused to be paralyzed by her lack of a Husband or a mate.
Serving God brings so much Joy, an inexpressible Joy but people who are not involved in serving the Lord can never experience this joy.

Are you busy serving Jesus during your free time, or do you waste hours trying to pursue and snag an available guy? Ruth was a widow, but she did not use her time sponsoring pity parties for all unhappy single women to gather and compare the misery of datelessness. When she and Naomi moved back to Bethlehem, Ruth did not waste a moment feeling sorry for herself. She went right to work. Instead of being drained by her discouraging circumstances, she took advantage of them and diligently embraced each day.
I don’t know about you but I am challenged by Ruth not to waste time anymore.

LET’S PRAY
Father I thank you for challenging us through the life of Ruth who did not waste time feeling sorry for herself as a widow but she did her work diligently.  Lord help us to open our eyes and see that the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.  May we seize the opportunities that come our way so that we may joyfully serve you.   In Jesus Name. Amen.

OUR FATHER.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

matthew 6:9–10

Father, you are above all, know all, and see all. Yet you hear me as if I am your only creation.

May I not view you as a distant father, but as one who has come to earth and understands the challenges and temptations of my life. Be near me today and whisper reminders that you are close and holding me as your child.

My friends need you today as they make dif- ficult decisions in their workplaces and within their families. Would you show them that you are closer than even their earthly fathers?

Thank you for hearing me and listening to my pleas.

It’s in Jesus’ name I pray this, amen.

Fiance Dad Called Off Engagement..

Unlike usual breakups, a broken engagement is a lot more difficult to handle. Let go is the hardest thing you can tell a lady that has just been heartbroken by a Man she loves, especially one she's engaged to. In 2013 after years of dating and been in serious love with someone I assumed was Mr right, we had done the usual family introduction and wedding plans was already in progress.
One gloomy Sunday afternoon, we were together and he received a call from his Father. He excused himself to answer the phone call and he came back not looking the same. He didn't telI me what the discussion was about but his countenance changed. While i was still trying to figure out his sudden mood change, i got a text message from his dad saying "By now I know you would have heard that we are no longer in your association with our Son, please find your way and leave him alone"  That was exactly how he wrote it. I'm sorry, I can never forget that statement. That was the beginning of the end as at then, I fell ill immediately, started purging, battling with Cold and fever at the same time. It felt like that was the end of me.  I went home alone with trembling knees, cold and shaky hands, and my face soaked in tears. Ooohh my oh my, I grieved. I cried, cried and cried until i couldn't cry again.
What have I done wrong to deserve this?  Am I not wife-material? How can he do this to me after all those years? What is he looking for that I don’t have? Is there something wrong with me?
I asked myself these questionas and more.
I was a Front facing staff in my office and i was always in tears. I'm sure my network provider had a good time during that period because of the amount i was recharging daily. I called him several times to beg him and even suggested that we fast and pray but his response wasn't encouraging..."you cannot beat a dead horse or you know I have ulcer".

This was my life for over 10months, I shrunk in size as i was always starving myself.
But moving on, I joined a fellowship, started praying(my prayer points was for him to just come back and apologize).
God blessed me with amazing friends that made it a duty to call me daily and talk about something else just to distract me from what i was going through. I just couldn't let go or i was finding it hard to. I also knew that i didn't want to remain a shattered Lady so I started praying to God to help me get some sleep and i could tell that my peace was gradually being restored as i started sleeping well.  I went further asking God for a good appetite, it worked!
Then i said to myself "God answer prayers". I soon became myself again, I was healing...i started smiling at work and then started applying makeup again....lol.... It took me about a year though to get over the whole thing...*smile*
I moved on. One good day, a friend called to ask for my consent to give someone my number, I said No. She called me about a month after to ask if she could give the same person my number, then i agreed. We got talking as friends and exactly one year after we met, we got married. Have I been happy? Veryyyyyy happy, Do I regret  been heartbroken? No, i am grateful to God because i wouldn't have met my husband if i was still holding on to that painful experience. I am not only married to the most amazing man, i have amazing in-laws. God delivered my special package. He's preparing yours too..Letting go is a gradual process with the help and grace of God which is available to us through fellowship with him and other believers.  If you're reading this and you're dealing with a broken engagement or nursing a heartbreak, i want you to know that you can never get anything lesser than God's best if you put Him first.
Yes, you may be hurting pretty badly right now, but please never forget that God has someone for you. Going through this unbearable pain could be His way of molding you to be the perfect spouse that He wants you to be.
As an end note, I just want to say that whatever sufferings I went through in the past played an important role in bringing me to what I am today – a happily married girl. So, cheer up and take courage. A beautiful sunrise awaits you.

Smile....

LET US PRAY

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by

whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:15

Father, you have made me your child through your Spirit. In your kindness you adopted me and delivered me from sin and death.

Remind me today what it means to be your child and to be free from that law. It is so easy for me to live my day on my own terms. Help me to live it in light of your grace.

I pray for my friends and family. Help them experience your love as their father and feel their inheritance in your spirit.

Thank you for accepting me as I am but not leaving me the same.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Can You Pay The Price?

1. She met him at a Motor Park
2. She was a university student - GREAT IFE
while he was only a Polytechnic student in
Kwara Poly (Remember the discrimination) – she could have snubbed him - but she responded.
3. His friends complained that he was
carrying Christianity too zealously as if he
was the only Christian - she became zealous
too.
4. He took her to church in 1976 and made
her sign an agreement (SAILING UNDER
SEALED ORDERS) to marry and follow him whether he becomes blind, lame or
handicapped… she signed.
5. Just before he married her, he told her
God had sent him to LIBERATE THE Worlds (while he was still hopping between jobs)
and went on to resign his job; his elder
brother lambasted him, she stuck to him.
6. He told her God had shown him the key
to prosperity - she believed.
7. He told her they would build a 50,000
capacity tent and preach the gospel from
private jets - she believed her dreamer lover.
8. He was too ‘buoyant’ to afford a hotel
room on his wedding eve, he slept in his
rickety Volkswagen beetle – she married
him.
9. During a moment of insane faith, he
ordered a mad man to be put in his car
alone with her while she was pregnant; she
remained.
10. She saw she was dripping blood while
pregnant and explained to him that she had
a miscarriage, he shouted “It CANNOT
Happen, can I have my food please” – she
served him food.
11. She just had their first baby and there
was no food or money at home. He refused
to borrow or ask or take from church
money and they were drinking/eating
“CERELAC Baby food’ for 3 days – she ate
with him.
12. She came to church one day and saw
him so excited with few members while
waiting for service to start; he explained to
her that service was actually over – she
laughed.
13. People kept praying for her and her
husband as they seemed to be crazy and
needed deliverance-she kept faith.
14. He announced a new Bible school and
she knew there was no facility; she asked
him and he replied “Is it your school”? She
kept quiet.
BUT SHE DIDN'T KNOW…
15. She didn't know they were going to be
flying in customized jets round the world.
16. She didn’t know he would pastor and
she, co-pastor the largest church auditorium in the world.
17. She didn’t know he would be a father to millions all over the world.
18. She didn’t know he would be hosted by
Presidents and Heads of States of nations.
19. She didn’t know he would be a
Chancellor and Pioneer of one of the best
Private Universities in the world…..and
others.
20. She woke up one day on her sick bed in the USA and unexpectedly saw her hubby who had flown in quietly from Nigeria and had refused to wake her up…..he was kneeling on the floor by her legs and crying ‘Lord, heal her and prove that you sent me”- She got healed miraculously…more than once!
All she saw was a Man with A BIG GOD
inside him.
21. She said to her husband 'Honey,we need to change the school of this children'. The school is no longer what it used to be.
Parents are complaining and they aren't
doing anything about it. Her husband
Bishop David Oyedepo responded: Why?
No! She never altered a word after that. She went back to God on her kneels in Prayers.
She prayed: God touch the heart of your son who is my husband. You alone understand this present situation. Let him see reasons with what I am saying. Not up to a day,her husband the Bishop said to her: Honey, that reminds me.
You made mention of we changing the children's school, how far have
you gone with it? This was a man that said why? no earlier on. She never argued with him but rather went back to her God. Her name is FAITH: Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo.
Here is a question for the ladies:
Can you pay the Price Ladies???

Chapter 1: Lady Of Reckless Abandonment

Have you assumed that your ultimate fulfillment would be found in marriage? Have you privately entertained the notion that the only satisfied women are married women? Have you been expecting yiur career to satisfy you until you are married? If you have answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you have a prospect of diillusionment looming in the future.
"A woman is not born a woman. Nor does she become one when she marries a man, bears a child and does their dirty linen, not even when she joins a women's liberation movement. A woman becomes a woman when she becomes what God wants her to be."

Too many Christian women think that thebiner longings of their heart relate only to love, marriage, and motherhood. If we look closer, we will see that it's a longing ultimately for Jesus. According to Gary chapman "marriage is not a higher calling than the single state. Happiness is not found in marriage but in a tight relationship with God." Fulfillment for a Christian woman begins with the Lordship of Christ in every area of her life.
The secret to becoming a Lady Of Reckless Abandonment is to understand that No one, not even the man you will amrry one day eill make you happy- only Jesus can.
We can arise above this stereotype by renewing our mind.
We can be an exception through understanding "the secret of the alabaster box"

The Secret Of The Alabaster Box~~
This is about giving our ALL to our heavenly Bridegroom (see Mark 14:3-9, Luke 7:37, Mathew 26:14, Luke1:38)
The woman in Mark 14 although described as a sinner, had dreams and wisely broke her alabaster box in the presence of the only One who can make a woman's dream come true.
Have you been holding on tighltly to your alabaster box? Take your alabaster box to Jesus and break it in His presence because He is worthy of such honour. When Jesus is your Lord, you can joyfully walk in the path of life that He has for you.

Ruth's Reckless Abandonment
We are all familiar with the storybof Ruth. The young widow who made a critical decision to turn her back on her people, her country, and her gods because her thirsty soul had tasted the God of Israel. She recklessly abandoned herself to the only true God. She willingly broke her alabaster box and folloed God wherever He would lead her. She made a New friend (Naomi) becaue she knew she would not be able to grow closer to God if she remained among the Moabites (Her people).
Ruth  relocated in order to be fed spiritually. We are to look for something that will stimulate our growth in the Lord. Ruth had to forsake the familiar and comfortable to receieve God's best forbher life. She also moved from a false religion into the only true and eternal relationship.
Ruth's choice was costly but the return on this high price far outweighedbher investment.

A career, a marriage, or even motherhood is not enough to totally satisfy us by itself. God knows that we will never be complete until we really understand that we are complete in Jesus. A woman not conplete in Jesus will be a drain on her husband. Such a eoman will expect her husband to fill the gap that only Jesus can fill. Only the single woman who understands this means of being complete in Jesus is mature enough to be a helpmeet.

Colossians 2:9-10Amplified Bible (AMP)

"For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]. And in Him you have been made complete [achieving spiritual stature through Christ], and He is the head over all rule and authority [of every angelic and earthly power].

Also see Psalm73:28a....

Becoming a Lady in Waiting begins with reckless abandonment to Jesus. the strength and discipline necessary to be a Lady of Diligence, Faith, Virtue, Devotion, Purity, Security, Contentment, Conviction, and Patience is discovered in the radical way of relating to our heavenly Bridegroom.

"Marriage teaches us that even the not intimate human companionship canoy satisfy the deepest places of the heart. Our hearts are lonely till they reat in Him." ~~ Elisabeth Elliot.

What makes you a wife material?

Have you ever wondered what guys are looking for in a wife?

Or maybe you’re a man, and you’ve dated a few women, but never felt like someone was “marriage material”. I think you may find this piece helpful.

John Fileta points out three traits she found in his wife Debra that won his heart.

Compassion: Nothing melts a man’s heart more than a woman who exudes love and compassion for others. According to John, first weekend met his wife Deb, the one thing that stuck out to him was how big her heart was. (Though he thought she was unbelievably gorgeous, which is also a plus…). She wasn’t just talking the talk, she was living it out.

The reason compassion is so attractive to a man, is because true compassion stems directly from the heart of Christ. When God’s love fills a person, that love begins to overflow into all areas of their life and impact those around them. Compassion was something that stood out to John in his wife-to-be, because it wasn’t a love that was being given in order to receive, it was a supernatural love that was being given freely because of what Jesus had done in her life. That, in and of itself, spoke volumes to the kind of wife she would one day be.

Direction: We’re all traveling through the journey of life, and it’s our hope that one day someone will be journeying by our side. But the thing is, the person who ends up next to you has a huge impact on the direction your life will take. A key quality to being marriage material is a woman who has direction.

Direction doesn’t necessarily mean that she is going to be a neurosurgeon or big-shot attorney, and isn’t synonymous with how much money she is going to make or how successful she will be. Direction is when a person realizes their God-given talent and purpose in life and begins to run in that direction with all their heart. When He met Deb, she was in graduate school for counseling. He knew almost nothing about the field. But as she talked about it, He could see the excitement and passion in her eyes. He has so much respect and appreciation for what she does because he's seen the huge impact she makes one life at a time.

The important thing to note about direction is that it goes above and beyond your career. It’s about understanding what God has gifted you to do, and then doing it well: whether that be your career, your ministry, or your relationships.

Confidence: There is nothing more attractive than a woman who is secure in who she is and knows her value. I think one of the biggest problems today facing women is an identity crisis perpetuated by the media, movies, and the entire entertainment industry. But the most beautiful thing a woman can be is wrapped up in the understanding of her intrinsic value, a God-given value that can’t be taken away. There is something undeniably attractive about that, because let’s be honest, it’s rare. All these photo-shopped images of women that we see all around us are actually so far removed from the very things that a GODLY man finds attractive. It’s my hope that more and more women would realize that they are beautiful simply because they are made in God’s image: mind, body, and spirit- and then begin to live out that beauty.

Side note to the men: Don’t fall into the lies of pornography, or thinking that a woman is beautiful simply because she falls under the standards of society. That beauty is truly only skin deep, and won’t survive a life-time of ups and downs in marriage and raising children.

The first time John actually met Deb, He thought she was one of the most beautiful women He had ever met and was undeniably attracted to her. But though her external beauty caught his eye, it was her internal beauty and identity in Christ that won his heart. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord shall be praised….”

To all of you men looking for a woman who is marriage material, or for the women who are trying to become it – remember this: becoming marriage material is so much more than simply trying to get married. Ultimately, it’s about becoming all that God has called you to be.

Waiting on God?

"Seek ye first, the Kingdom of God and every other thing will be added unto you"
This is one of my favorite bible verse and it applies to this beautiful matchmade in heaven story you're about to read.
The bride "Yinka" was my course mate in Bowen University, we graduated same year. We can both pass for one of the naughty ones in our set...lol
I was happy for Yinka when i saw a picture of her engagement of instagram. ...i wasn't only happy that she was enagaged, i was happy that a Godly man found her...
There's a lot to be learnt from Yinka's story especially for the Ladies.

HER STORY...
I've had a few serious relationships and a few unserious relationships but they all ended up really bad, no matter how hard I loved or trusted someone they just ended taking me for granted and hurting me from dangerous lies, cheating, disrespecting etc they made me look down on myself sometimes... I always thought it was my fault, like there was something wrong with me or God was punishing me for something. At some point I said to myself 'No More' I was no longer interested in any kind of serious relationship, I wanted to be free. During this 'me' time I discovered a lot of things about myself, relationships and life, I also got closer to God, I discovered 'BIBLE SECRETS' , I read books started making friends with d right people. At this time there was serious pressure on me to get married or atleast bring a man home but I wasn't in a hurry because I made a deal with God that he will choose my husband and bring him to me and I stood on it and did not worry about it... One day a Christian mother in my office sent for me and asked why Richard and I don't talk and insisted we started talking. I was like 'Ahh just like that, of all the people in this office why him' but I had to obey her, she's a woman of God and an elderly person. That's how we started talking oo there was no attraction no spark nothing but according to him he knew he had to marry me but I kept saying he's not my type... May this 'not my type' put many ladies in trouble' because all d other guys that  kept hurting me were 'my type' n here I had an excellent, gentle, God fearing, hard working man that wanted to love me n I was saying 'not my type'. I was not nice to him at all but he stayed loving me n refused to go oo... I decided to get close to him n it's just been d best decision thing ever, he made me love myself even more, he inspires me, puts me 1st, he prays with n for me everyday, I am not exaggerating I've been so happy n I just started shining n glowing anyhow lol n he never tried to touch me... I have a past, I've done things I'm not proud of, I've dated horrible mean guys but God thinks I'm worthy of his grace because I turned to him n he put lines in pleasant places for me, he broke protocols for my sake. Today I am Mrs Richard Ogundare *whoop whoop*

He makes ALL things beautuful in His time....❤️

No Man Can Make You Happy

Have you been wondering Why your boyfriend doesn’t just get you? Have you been trying to figure out why your husband or boyfriend of several years can't make your happy? Well, the truth is: No man can make you happy. And I’m not sure God ever designed men to.
That’s because happiness is based on circumstances. Yet circumstances are the one part of our lives over which we have virtually no control. Since we can’t control circumstances, pursuing happiness means constantly scanning our surroundings to see if they make us happy. And as soon as we start doing that, we will find all the reasons why our circumstances don’t measure up.
God never intended us to be passive. He made us to actively engage this world and to shine in it. So perhaps we need another route to happiness in marriage or our relationships—one that is far more likely to get us to the finish line. And it starts with fixing our own hearts.

Pursue Joy

I think of happiness as quite distinct from joy or contentment. Joy looks upward, contentment looks inward, and happiness looks outward. Joy says, “How great is our God!” Contentment says, “It is well with my soul.” And happiness says, “All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all.” But you can’t appreciate what’s outside of you until you’re at peace with what’s inside. And that requires focusing on God first.
Psalm 37:4 : “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart”. This doesn’t mean that when we delight ourselves in God he gives us everything we want; it means that when we delight ourselves in God, he actually changes what we want. We start looking with gratitude at what God has done for us.

Take Responsibility for Your Own Happiness

Sometimes nothing changes except  we work on our attitude. We need to Run after God!
Women! jump on the Joy track and start looking for ways to bring God into your daily life. You can start to conversationally pray “without ceasing.” Turn to Scripture not to fix her problems but just to see Jesus.
We need to understand first of all that  Our happiness is a gift to the people we cherish...husband..kids... When we pursue joy and find happiness, we no longer rely on 'man" to make us happy. When we look to God first, we free our husbands or loved ones  to be who God made them to be, not who we want them to be. And that changes the whole dynamic in the relationship.

Deal with Sin

Jesus wants to bring wholeness to our lives, relationships and our marriages, and that wholeness can only come when we deal with our issues honestly.
Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9, NIV). We’re to make peace, not just keep peace. And in some marriages, too many keep peace. A lot of us (women) are so afraid of conflict that we try to keep issues from reaching the surface. peace we need to know isn't the absence of conflict (1 Corinthians 1:10). Real peace only comes when we stop hiding from reality and we bring our mess to God—even if that means rocking the boat.
Jesus gives us a different route to happiness. We are not to aim for happiness; but to aim for him instead. That’s not passively waiting for someone to make our life better; it’s actively pursuing God’s best for us, for our husbands, and for our marriage. Even if it’s hard.
Matthew 6:33 makes it clear enough that when we seek God first, every other thing will be added unto us. And so we need to keep running after Jesus because that’s the only way we can really experience any man's love.

cheers...
