Meet The Bowmans...Bride presents Dad a Purity Certificate

Timothy "Tim" Bowman Jr is an American Gospel Musician and Brelyn Freeman is the daughter of a well known American Pastor. Bree is a young entrepreneur and preacher of purity. I started following her on instagram after i saw a cute picture of her. Their story broke the internet after Brelyn presented a "Purity Certificate" to her Father, Pastor
Mike Freeman. Though she got a lot of criticism but the new bride is cool and still stands by her Purity Certificate.
Let me explain what a Purity Certificate is...a document signed by her Doctor thag her hymen is intact. Although i have my reservations and maybe a few questions but i'm still a fan of the newlly wedded couple.
It feels good to know that both Bree and her husband Tim decided to wait until they were married to have sex.
Let’s share the news: Purity is Possible in 2015! Here are some of the special moments captured from Instagram via #MeetTheBowmans

Bree shared this on her page “The peace of God covered our day. One of my greatest desires for my wedding and marriage thereafter is that God is the center and is glorified. It’s beautiful to see couples worship the Gift-giver at their wedding and give honor where it’s due. "It was truly an atmosphere where angels could reside & not feel out of place. A place where love healed broken hearts, encouraged some to press on & to rekindle love,"

They honored God with their purity. Once again, purity is possible! Brelyn and Tim were both virgins and they have dated for about 3 years. Purity like i tell people is more than just being a virgin, it's about honoring God, to be pure in mind, body and spirit. This is necessary for a great marriage and your commitment to the Lord. If you are reading this and you're not a virgin you can always recommit your body to the Lord like i did (Romans 12:1-2) and honor God saving physical intimacy for your future spouse.
It's not been easy but i'm trusting God to help me.

Tim serenades his wife...
Tim sang “I Believe in You and Me” as his bride walked down the aisle with her dad. Tim Bowman on his instagram page shared a video saying: “I tried my hardest to make it through this song without crying! Lol Well I failed, but what came out was from my heart straight to my wife!! Still just humbled and grateful that people came out to celebrate w/ us!"

It was such a classy event! From the Vera Wang Bridal gown to the glamorous ceremony pictures. The truth is, it's not about the glam but when you're obedient to God He can and will give you more than you've ever expected. A few trends i noticed: the clever wedding day hashtag (#MeetTheBowmans), lovely engagement photos, photo booth fun, and more. I love the bridesmaid and grooms men invites though!

Forgive and Forget...💖

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection"

It is truly amazing how some people attempt to justify an angry, unforgiving heart. They may think, God knows what that person did to me, so He understands why I feel this way. Well, He certainly understands, but that doesn't mean He approves.

Jesus faced appalling betrayal and abandonment, so He knows human emotions inside and out. Yet the Lord does not agree that we should feel justified about an unforgiving attitude. The Savior had a God-centered view of forgiveness that withstood the vilest torture. This is something we should thank God for every morning. Why? Because we are the ones who betray the Lord daily.

We have wronged Jesus in ways no one has ever wronged us. We've denied Him His rightful place in our lives. We have doubted His Word, ignored His instructions, and left Him out of our day-to-day lives. We've sinned against Him and shamed Him by sinning against others.
What is Jesus' response to this abuse? "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Now, do you really believe He will justify your unforgiveness under any circumstances? No, He won't.
When you look to God to excuse your unforgiving heart, you'll hear Him answer, "Look at the cross." There, you'll discover the price that was paid for your own forgiveness. Colossians 3:13 spells out our solemn responsibility: "Forgive as the Lord forgave you" (NIV, emphasis added). Just as we have been forgiven, so we must now become forgivers.

WALK AWAY..

It's hard to walk away, but you must! You have to make sure that you're not holding on out of ego. You have to be sure that you're not trying to raise an adult or change a person who is unwilling to change. It's not about you, it's about them. It's not that you're not worthy of love. It's that they aren't ready to learn how to love. You have to recognize that and be willing to walk away.
Sometimes it's the walking away part that makes a person change. If you've left before and it didn't influence them to change then the next time you leave it needs to be for good.
We waste so much unnecessary time trying to make love work. You have to be willing to admit when you didn't know love and you built on lust instead. You have to be willing to cut your losses, learn your lesson(s), and move on stronger and wiser. You can't force love and you shouldn't have to.
Love is a gift not a curse. Don't live a cursed life by trying to hold onto a lie. Evaluate your situation. If you know you've done all you can to make it work and it hasn't, let it go. Love is waiting for you but you can't attract it if you're still tied to a lie.
I pray you find the strength to leave if you know you need to leave!

Forgiving a cheating Husband....

I do a lot of reading and when i came across this post on a christian blog, i remembered the exact words of some guest speaker when we had a marriage seminar in church last year..."You need to pray for your husband when you find out he's cheating sometimes its beyond normal".

I'm not married but i trembled on my seat, deep down i know how painful it is when you find out your boyfriend is cheating on you...hmmm..let alone husband!!

The truth is Some men have been lured into the snare of the enemy and don’t know how to become untangled. Our men are faced with all types of temptation but one is becoming all too familiar, adultery. Too many women are comfortable with being a mistress, side chic and/or jump off and so our men become trapped. Please understand this post is in no way making excuses for the behavior of adultery. I would like to just shed some light that some of our men our weak in their flesh. Instead of being led by the Spirit of God, they have submitted to their flesh. Instead of exercising self-control, some of our men are just straight out of control and we have to pray them back into the fold. We must pray and some areas require fasting AND praying. Some of our men have joined themselves with a seducing spirit (Jezebel) and don’t even know it. We have to stand FIRM in the gap, praying for his mind (Ephesians 4:22-24), eyes (Psalm 101:3), heart (Proverbs 4:23), ears
(2 Timothy 4:3-4), feet (Matthew 6:13), and his entire body (1 Corinthians 3:16-17).

As a single girl that was once of the world, i got to know that some of these Ladies have no chill..they go extra mile as long as they're getting financial assistance from the man. Our men have to daily fight off the temptations of this world. We must understand they cannot do it on their own. They absolutely need the Lord and our continual prayers. When is the last time you asked your husband, how can I pray for you?

The battle is even harder for wives who are unequally yoked, BUT God is greater. Wives, instead of beating your husband down PRAY. He gets torn down enough in the world , do not tear him down more when he gets home. Even with his flaws, embrace him. Please don’t ever stop praying for your honey, husband and man of God.

Forgive him if not for anything but for you.

Marriage requires a lot of sacrifice and forgiveness....that's just the test of LOVE...

Call forth the king in him. In Jesus name!
